Mullins Man Dies after Sustaining Injuries in a Car Accident

A Mullins man who was injured in a car accident on U.S. 501 Thursday morning died Sunday morning from injuries he sustained in the accident. The Horry County Coroner identified the man as James Douglas Davis, 58. Davis was driving north on U.S. 501 when the 4-door car he was driving ran into the back of a garbage truck. The truck was stopped on a pickup route about two miles south of Marion. The driver of the garbage truck was not injured in the accident.
