Mt Pleasant Accident Injures Officers

Posted on Jun 07, 2017

As Mt. Pleasant Police Officers were arresting a driver who was under the influence at Shelmore Boulevard along Highway 17, they were struck by another car.

The driver of the second vehicle was also impaired and when he hit one of the officer's cars, it pushed it into a another vehicle and knocked the officers and original offender to the ground.

Both officers and the original offender were taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.

While this situation could have turned out much worse for the officers and the man being arrested, they suffered non-life threatening injuries. These injuries can be serious, however, and can be long lasting.

If you find yourself seriously injured by the recklessness of another driver, you may need legal help to get your medical bills paid.
