Motorcyclist Killed In DUI Related Accident

A woman has been charged with felony DUI related to an accident involving a motorcycle Friday evening around 10:55 pm in Kershaw County. Michael Gaskins was driving south on Highway 341 when he hit a van being driven by Michelle Anthony as it pulled out of a private driveway. Gaskins was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, and was killed. Anthony and 4 other passengers in the van were sent to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
Anthony has been charged with felony DUI, child endangerment, driving under suspension, a child restraint violation, and an alcohol violation. The highway patrol and the MAIT team continues to investigate the accident.
