Motorcyclist Dies After Wreck in Pickens County

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist has died after wrecking his 2007 Kawasaki on Belle Shoals Road near Terrapin Crossing Road in Pickens.  The coroner's office identified the man as 28-year-old Allan John Eddleman, saying he died of blunt force trauma.

Troopers say that around 1 P.M. on March 24, Eddleman was going north on Belle Shoals Road when he ran off the right side of the road while navigating a left hand curve.  He struck a tree and two vehicles on private property after he lost control of the motorcycle.  He was taken to Cannon Memorial Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Eddleman was not wearing a helmet in the accident.
