Motorcyclist Dies After Police Chase in Horry County

A motorcyclist who crashed after being involved in a high speed chase has died from injuries sustained in the wreck. According to authorties, Bradley Mussleman, 18, died from injuries he received from the motorcycle accident he was involved in. An Horry County Police officer observed Mussleman and a female passenger traveling at a high rate of speed in the early morning hours on Thursday on Highway 544. Mussleman refused to stop for blue lights and lead police on a high speed chase. According to the police report he reached speeds in excess of 140 MPH. He lost control of the motorcycle on Gardner Lacy Road and crashed. He was in critical condition after the accident, and the female passenger only sustained minor injuries. Mussleman was transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he later died.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol was responsible for investigating the crash.
