Motorcycle Pursuit Ends in Fatal Crash

A high-speed pursuit of a motorcycle in Myrtle Beach ended with a fatal accident early Saturday morning. Horry County deputies say that the crash happended around 1:00 A.M. at the intersection of Highway 501 and Broadway Street in downtown Myrtle Beach.

Alexander Savage, 24, was killed of internal injuries sustained in the accident, after losing control of his motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet in the accident. Authorities have not said why he was being pursued. South Carolina Highway Patrol and Horry County Police are investigating the crash and the pursuit investigation.
