Mother of 5 Killed in Hit-And-Run Accident

A hit and run accident involving a pedestrian in Orangeburg early Thursday morning killed a mother of five. The Orangeburg County Coroner says that Sharhonda Brown, 33, was hit on Belleville Road just outside of the city limits. The highway patrol located her around 5:15 a.m. and rushed her to the hospital where she later died.

Authorties state that the driver of a light colored SUV may not have known they hit Brown. The accident remains under investigation.
