Mother Charged In Deaths Of Sons Strapped In Car

   A young South Carolina mom has been charged with murder in connection with the deaths of her two toddler sons, who were found strapped in their car seats in a car submerged in the North Edisto River in Orangeburg Monday.

  The mother, 29-year-old Shaquan Duley, will appear before an Orangeburg County judge for an arraignment hearing on two murder charges. She had said that her sons, ages 2 years and 18 months, drown after her car ran into the river, but officials had questions about her story from the beginning.

   Duquan later confessed to suffocating her sons, Devean C. Duley and Ja'Van T. Duley, with her own hands in a motel before running her car into the river, according to Orangeburg County Sheriff Larry Williams. "I think she was fed up with her mother telling her she couldn't take care of the children, or she wasn't taking care of the children and just wanted to be free," Williams said.
