Man on Motorcycle Killed in North Myrtle Beach

Around 6:30pm on Thursday, October 21, 2016, a man on a motorcycle traveling US Highway 17 was struck and killed by vehicle in the lane next to him.

The at-fault driver was making a U-turn from the second lane and hit the motorcyle as it passed in the first lane.

During investigation, the at fault driver, Charlotte resident, Donelle Spivey, was found to not have a valid driver's license nor auto insurance. She was charged with driving under suspension second offense, expired registration, uninsured vehicle, and unlawful lane change.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene and Spivey was booked into J. Reuben Long detention center.
