Man killed in early morning Georgetown accident

 A man from Summerville was killed in an early morning car wreck in Georgetown at the intersection of Highway 17 alternate route and College Park Road.

The victim has been indentified as 23-year-old Larry Peagler. Peagler had been driving northbound on Highway 17 when he lost control of his vehicle and went into a canal. The cause of his accident is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Peagler was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.
