Man Injured After Wreck With Teenager at Cane Bay High School

A 42-year-old man was taken to MUSC after a collision with a teenager in front of Cane Bay High School. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says that the wreck happened at the corner of Highway 176 and Marshall Acres Blvd. around 8:30 AM Tuesday. 17-year-old Hannah Harmon was driving west on Highway 176 in a Dodge sedan when Bobby Joe Main tried to turn left out of Cane Bay High School in a Toyota SUV. Main was hit on the driver's side; he was charged with failure to yield the right of way. Harmon was not hurt in the accident.
Many parents have expressed concern that a traffic light should be installed in front of the high school due to frequency of accidents. The Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
