Man Found 2 Days After Moped Crash

Posted on Aug 24, 2011

South Carolina troopers say that Marvin Tolliver, 48, had been dead for more than 2 days after the moped he was driving crashed on Sandifer Road south of York. His son hadn't seen him for several days and went to look for him. Troopers say Tolliver drove off of Sandifer Road at a bridge, went over the embankment, and landed near a creek.

Troopers are still investigating the crash but say that it does appear to be a single vehicle accident. Tolliver last had contact with friends around 2 a.m. Sunday and it is believed the crash happened shortly after that as he was heading home. Toxicology tests are still pending.
