Man Charged with DUI After Wreck Injures Teenage Girl

A 16-year-old was hospitalized after the car she was driving was hit by a drunk driver. The accident happened Thursday at 8:10 pm on Highway 260 in Clarendon County when Clarence Vaughn hit Brittani Steen's car. She was driving west when Vaughn veered over the center line and hit her head-on. She was ejected from the vehicle in the course of the accident.
Vaughn was charged with felony DUI, open container, and operating an uninsured vehicle. The police will continue to investigate.
