Man Charged In Fatal Car Crash Released
Posted on Aug 18, 2010
A Longs man charged in connection with a fatal car crash last year at U.S. 17 Bypass and 62nd Avenue North has posted bond and is awaiting release from jail, according to Horry County officials.
William Curtis Howsare, 21, was charged with felony D.U.I. on July 5, 2009, in connection with the death of Darrell Edward Dismukes, 54, police said. Dismukes died July 13, 2009, at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston of injuries sustained in the crash.
Howsare posted $50,000 bond Tuesday and was placed on house arrest. He must wear an ankle bracelet and is not allowed to drive until his trial. He is charged with failing to stop at a red light, going about 60 mph, and was not wearing a seat belt.
