Local Man Dies In Wreck

   A Murrells Inlet man died Thursday morning as a result of a car crash at the intersection of E. Cox Ferry Road and U.S. 501 at the site of a relatively new stoplight.

   Marc Tyler Neidig, 26, died at Georgetown Hospital at about 10 a.m.. said Horry County Coroner Robert Edge.

   The Conway Police report lists the accident as a traffic/failure to yield right-of-way, but no charges have yet been filed. They were called to the scene just before 8 a.m., where they found one car turned on it's driver's side about 60 feet from the intersection. The other vehicle was about 20 feet from the intersection.

   Emergency personnel were already on the scene and performing CPR on the driver of the car found on it's side. Both drivers were initially taken to Conway Medical Center for treatment.
