Lexington County Teenager Killed in Single Car Accident

A Batesburg-Leesville teenager was killed Sunday afternoon when he was thrown from the SUV he was driving. The coroner says that Joshua Jackson was heading south on Neely Wingard Road around 1:30 pm with his mother when he lost control of the SUV he was driving and it crashed and rolled several times. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the SUV and died at the scene from his injuries. The boy's mother was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The Lexington County Coroner's Office and the S.C. Highway Patrol are still investigating the accident.
