Laurens Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident

The Laurens Police and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a motorcycle accident. Laurens Police chief said that 28-year-old Carlos Simpson died after the motorcycle he was operating was struck by a car. The car pulled out in front of Simpson and hit his motorcycle Sunday night at the intersection of Spring Street and Southview in Laurens.

The highway patrol is reconstructing the collision and will continue to investigate the accident. No charges have been filed in the case.
