Infant and Others Injured in Car Accident

A single car accident early Wednesday morning sent 1 infant and 2 others to the hospital with injuries. The Charleston County Sherrif's office states that Debra Melville was ejected from her car after she lost control on Highway 174. She was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control, and then the car overturned. Melville was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries as well as an 8 month old child and an adult passenger.
Authorities state that there are no signs Melville was intoxicated, but that she has been charged with reckless driving, no seatbelt, unsafe motor vehicle, and not having a South Carolina driver's license.
