I-95 Collision Kills 1, Injures 1

Two cars crashed on I-95 in Dillon County Tuesday evening leaving one person dead and another injured. Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins with the SC highway patrol says the accident happened around mile marker 183 on I-95 south around 6:15 p.m.

Two cars, a 2008 Ford Fusion and a Chevy Impala, were both traveling south when they made contact. The Fusion struck the guardrail, killing the driver. The passenger in that car was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. The driver of the Impala was not injured in the accident.

Collins says that no charges have been filed yet, but the accident is still under investigation.
