Highway Patrol Investigating Accident Where Toddler was Hit by a Car

The South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating an accident in the Burgess Community that happened Sunday afternoon when a vehicle struck a toddler. The accident happened near St. James United Methodist Church around 1:23 pm. A three year old girl was stuck when a 14-year-old was backing up a vehicle.

The toddler was taken to Waccamaw Community Hospital to be treated for her injuries. The SC Highway patrol is still investigating the accident.
