Fatal Hit and Run Accident in Marion County

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident in Marion County Wednesday evening. The accident occured around 6:20 pm on US 76 East in front of the Little Pee Dee Manor outside of Mullins. A male victim was struck by a vehicle and killed instantly. The female driver of the car did not stop but was apprehended by the police not far from the accident scene.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate this accident and is working to identify the victim.
