Fatal Accident Involving Car and Log Truck in Bennettsville

An accident involving a log truck and a car ended with 2 confirmed dead Tuesday afternoon in Bennettsville, SC. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says that around 3:40 P.M. the accident happened along Grant's Mill Road near Aaron Temple Church Road. Authorties say that a Peterbilt log truck that was not carrying any logs was traveling north on Aaron Temple Church Road when another car, a Kia SUV, ran a stopsign heading east and went into the path of the log truck. The log truck hit the SUV on the side.

The 2 people in the SUV, Henry Frank Warren, 56, and John Franklin Harrington, 57 were confirmed dead at the scene. The cause of death was determined to be multiple internal injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the log truck was taken to the hospital. An investigation is ongoing in the accident.
