Posted on Sep 14, 2011

Charleston County police are investigating an accident that happened Wednesday morning on I-26 eastbound near exit 212 that involved 7 vehicles. The woman that caused the accident, Pamela Habersham, was driving a stolen car when, after driving erratically, cut off another car and slammed on her brakes causing the accident. Habersham left the scene of the accident and was later found and arrested. She has been charged with leaving the scene of a collision with personal injury, driving under suspension second-offense and reckless driving.

4 other drivers involved in the accident were taken by ambulance to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. Habersham remains in jail.
