Driver Causes Multi-Car Crash in Conway Area

          The S.C. Highway Patrol reported that on Monday, February 25, 2013, a three car crash sending eight people to the hospital closed down part of Highway 701 for an hour.

          The driver causing the accident was Christopher Gattis, a 24 year old from Conway, SC. He was charged with Driving Under the Influence as well as Driving Under Suspension.

          Sgt. Bob Beres said the Gattis drove his minivan into the opposite lane where he hit a vehicle head-on. When he attempted to return to his lane, he hit another vehicle that was pulling out of a private driveway.
