Clover High School Student Killed in Car Accident

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a car accident that occured Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in Clover, SC. A Clover High School senior, 19-year-old Tyler Book was killed in the accident. According to troopers, the accident occured around 3:30 P.M. just after school had been released for the day.

The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 55 and Griggs Road. Book was driving east and was making a left turn onto Griggs Road at the time of the accident. A septic tank truck was driving west when it appears Book turned in front of the truck. The truck hit Books' car and pushed it nearly 50 feet down the road.

Friends and family say that Book was liked by everyone and will be greatly missed. The highway patrol is still investigating the accident.
