Charleston Driving Under the Influence Kills Another

Over the weekend, a 21-year-old man was driving under the influence when he lost control of his vehicle in McClellanville, South Carolina.

His passenger was fatally injured at U.S. Highway 17 and Two Pines Road.

Charleston County First Responders were called to the scene of the car accident just before 2am Saturday night.

Investigators determined that the driver was speeding when he lost control of the car and went across traffic before overturning.

The driver was later arrested for "felony DUI resulting in death and having an open container of alcohol."
