Campbell recalls 15 million pounds of SpaghettiOs

Campbell Soup Company has recalled 15 million pounds of SpaghettiOs with Meatballs because of a cooker malfunction in a Texas plant that caused the meat to remain undercooked.

Officials are uncertain exactly when the malfunction occurred so they have recalled certain lots produced since December 2008 to the present month to be cautious. Three varieties of SpaghettiOs have been recalled. These include: SpaghettiOs with Meatballs, SpaghettiOs A to Z with Meatballs, and SpaghettiOs Fun Shapes with Meatballs (Cars).

According to USDA, there have been no reports of illnesses resulting from consumption of the product nor has Campbell received any customer complaints.

The recalled products are stamped with an "EST 4K" and have a use-by date between June 2010 and December 2011. The 15 million pounds of SpaghettiOs are all the SpaghettiOs with meatballs that were produced between December 2008 and the present time. The recall includes a total of 35,000 cases, many of which the company believes have already been consumed.
