Auto Accident Kills Two in Marion County

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is reporting two people have died following an early morning car accident in Marion County. The accident happened around 4 am Sunday when a 1995 Ford Crown Victoria and a 2008 Suzuki SUV collided head on near the Britton's Neck community. The crash happened on Highway 378 and the driver of the Ford was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Ronald Frenchshaw Davis, Jr. The driver of the Suzuki was wearing a seat belt and was taken to the hosptial. She died a few hours later at the hospital. She was identified as 19-year-old Kelsey Mitchell Day. The highway patrol is continuing to investigate the car accident.
