ATV Driver Dies After Hitting Deer

Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say that an ATV driver has died after hitting a deer early Sunday morning. Jessie Darnell Reeves, 26, was driving a 2003 Suzuki ATV east on SC 346 around 1 a.m. Sunday when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. Reeves unfortunatley still collided with the deer and the force caused him to fly off of the ATV. He was taken to Kershaw Hospital where is was pronounced dead. Authorities are still investigating the accident.
