Accident Involving 18 Wheeler Causes 1 Death

An accident between an 18-wheeler and a car killed one person in Richland County on Tuesday. According to reports from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 7 pm at the intersection of Highway 601 and Reynolds Road which is about 3 miles east of Eastover. The driver of the car, a 2011 Chevy four door, died at the scene. The car was traveling north on Hwy. 601 and the tractor trailer was driving south when they collided.

The crash is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
