15 Year-Old Involved in Fatal Accident in Lexington County

A 15-year-old girl who was driving illegally was involved in a fatal car accident that also claimed the life of her 10-year-old brother. Reports also confirm that her sister was also in the car and was sent to the hospital following the accident. Crystal Torres had her learner's permit but was breaking the law by driving without a person over the age of 20 in the car with her.

Reports state that she was driving a 2011 Honda Accord south on Highway 321 when an 18-wheeler collided with her car after entering the highway going eastbound near W. Hutto Road. Sadly, the accident happend only 6 miles form Torres' home. All three people in the car were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coronor's office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT team.
