15 Wrongful Death Suits Against Fed for Church Shooting

Posted on Sep 29, 2016

During a Charleston church service, nine people were shot and killed during their bible study by 22-year-old Dylann Roof in the summer of 2015.

Fifteen lawsuits have been filed against the federal government for not checking the background of the shooter before he was sold a gun that he used to commit these crimes. Families and survivors of the event claim the FBI was negligent in failing to perform a background check.

The shooter faces the death penalty in both state and federal courts in upcoming trials.
