The 100 Deadly Days of Summer are Over

South Carolina considers Labor Day the end of the "100 Deadly Days of Summer."

Since May 27th, state troopers have investigated 41 deaths along the Grand Strand and the Pee Dee areas. According to the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles, this is a 16 percent drop in road deaths from last season.

This year 172 deaths have occurred on state roads while last year at this time there were 200 deaths.
