Woman sustained microscopic fractures while stopped for a school bus
Client, a middle age woman was stopped waiting for a school bus to pick up some kids. The defendant hit the rear of her vehicle. No fractures showed up on her x-rays. When more studies were performed, it was determined that she had bone cancer in her hip which had been aggravated by the collision. She had not known of the cancer before the wreck. The defense claimed the cancer for the pain. We showed that up to the moment of the accident, she was healthy and able to stand, walk, and work.
