Maintenance man injures spine while fixing washing machine
Maintenance supervisor injured his back while bending over a washing machine to repair a hose. He immediately felt pain and weakness in his lower extremities. After a number of surgeries he was still totally disabled. It was our position that he was a partial paraplegic and entitled to lifetime compensation payments. The defendant argued he was limited to 500 weeks of compensation.
