Woman Rear Ended on US 17 in Georgetown

A woman was traveling down US 17 in Georgetown, South Carolina, south of Myrtle Beach, when she was rear ended by another car.

The car that hit her was towing a trailer and failed to slow then stop his vehicle in time. The victim, who speaks very little English, was transported to Waccamaw Hospital for a medical evaluation.

They determined she had a cervical strain and recommended she see a Primary Care Physician in her home state. While treating back home, her doctors found she had a lumbar strain in addition to the cervical strain.

The victim was able to work with a Spanish speaking attorney at The Derrick Law Firm to get her medical bills paid. Car Accident Attorney Kevin Mulet has since settled her liability claim for full policy limits and is currently seeking damages under her Underinsured Motorist Insurance Coverage.
