Cadillac Recalls 700 CTS Models for Possible Brake Failure

The automaker G.M. through its division Cadillac has recalled around 700 of its 2012 CTS model cars due to a possible brake failure. According to the report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that an improperly torqued retaining nut could come loose, disconnecting the brake pedal from the brake-boost pushroad. This disconnection could result in a sudden loss of ability to brake and could cause serious accidents without warning.

The spokesman for G.M. said the problem was discovered at the assembly plant. G.M. ordered dealers to stop selling the cars the day after the issue was discovered.
