Baby Powder Products to Blame for Cases of Ovarian Cancer

Over 1,200 cases are pending against Johnson & Johnson regarding the products, Baby Powder and Shower to Shower.

One case in particular went before a jury to prove that a woman's ovarian cancer and ultimate death were caused by the talc in Johnson & Johnson's products that she regularly used over the course of decades for feminine hygiene.

The jury awarded her a settlement in the amount of $72 million which included actual and punitive damages. The jury decided Johnson & Johnson was negligent in providing products that contained talc although they knew of the link between their products and cancer.

Because all cases will have similarities and differences, juries may decide on the outcomes of each individual case. The high amount mentioned above may not be typical, however, depending on the details and evidence provided.

If you or a loved one have been affected by these products, you may be in need of a personal injury attorney. Contact Attorney Dirk Derrick today for your free consultation. 843-248-7486
